Boomerang bill
I semi-frequently engage in Where’s George, the bill-tracking site. When I cashed my check on Monday, I got a bill marked with a WG stamp. When I attempted to enter it, I got a “bill already entered” message. Since I’d hit “Submit” two or three times because of my connection being faulty, I assumed it was due to that. So I clicked through to the bill history page. It had an entry for my zip code…dated a week prior.
Apparently I had bought this bill out of my drawer last week, spent it (or sold it back to the drawer and gave it out as change, perhaps), and it somehow found its way back to my bank, into the drawer that belonged to the teller that I just so happened to have cash my check.
Weird how that works, huh?
